By Karsen Cervi — Three Rivers Karting Entertainment Park is keeping Pittsburgh guessing ahead of the Pittsburgh Mascot Charity Race 2026, set for Thursday, August 20 at 8:30 p.m.

The entertainment park, no stranger to teasing major announcements, has hinted that a mystery mascot and special surprise guest will appear during this year’s race. So far, 3RK has revealed few clues, instead keeping fans engaged through Q&A polls and cryptic teases across social media.

The mystery adds another wrinkle to an already packed event featuring Pittsburgh-area mascots racing go-karts in support of their respective charities. Organizers have publicly confirmed that this year’s field will also feature a surprise and what they’re calling a “HUGE reveal/big surprise announcement.

Fans may get another clue Saturday night, when Karsen Cervi, Three Rivers Karting’s Marketing and Social Media Director, joins John and Rachel from the Ya Jagoff Podcast on KDKA Radio to tease a little more about what’s coming.

But don’t expect the secret to be completely spoiled.

For anyone determined to discover the identity of the mystery mascot — and exactly what Three Rivers Karting has up its sleeve — there’s only one way to find out: be there live Thursday, August 20 at 8:30 p.m.

And if 3RK’s teasing is any indication, Pittsburgh may want to expect the unexpected.

By Karsen Cervi — Three Rivers Karting Entertainment Park is excited to announce the launch of its new hand-controlled go-kart, designed to make the thrill of racing more accessible than ever before.

Recently, the team had the privilege of welcoming Jonathan Stark of Hand Driven (@hand.driven) to the facility to test the adaptive kart and provide valuable feedback during its development. His insights have been instrumental as Three Rivers Karting continued refining the kart to ensure a safe, exciting, and inclusive racing experience.

After months of development and testing, the hand-controlled kart is now available for guests. Drivers interested in utilizing the adaptive kart are encouraged to call ahead with any questions regarding availability, accommodations, or racing requirements. The team is happy to assist guests in planning their visit and ensuring the best possible experience.
